Might have been nice when it first opened, but the public has ruined it. Likely the most trash I have ever seen in a single park in my life. None of the trash cans had covers or lids so a lot of trash finds it's way into the bushes and is scattered everywhere throughout. Walked around the water where some people were fishing. Maybe the community will come together and clean it up someday.

I picked up an avocado toast and green juice, sat in the shaded ramada and enjoyed the ducks in the distance. It was the best way to start the day. Few folk around. I sat under the shade trees and enjoyed the various types of ducks and noises. A young family was fishing. Some walked around the lake. It's 98 degrees, definitely cooler in the shade by the water. Nice quiet meditative moment. Easy parking because it was hot. There's a place to BBQ, garbage cans were empty. Ramada 10 is closest to the lake and shade trees. Book well ahead. A huge bird landed in a tree. It had a white upper chest, photo attached.

What a pleasant escape from the city and desert right in the middle! Beautiful little lake, nice refuge for the waterfowl and other fauna. Too bad people don't treat it with respect! The grounds had trash and people just walked by it like it wasn't there and then left more trash of their own. After having my lunch I went around and picked up what I could see. Grateful for the nice escape, regardless.

The location is on the other end of the park absolutely beautiful!
