This is one of my favorite spots to take in the city view. If you are up for some exercise and maybe even an owl siteing, I recommend taking the Esmeralda steps starting at Coleridge street. You can burn off some of the calories from you Taqueria Cancun Burrito on nearby Mission Street and be rewarded with a fantastic view of the city when you reach the top. This is also a great spot to walk you dog off leash an activity that is very popular with neighbors on Bernal Hill. If you are feeling especially vigorous you can follow up you hilltop experience with a walk down to Cortland Ave where there are many great restaurants and cafes.

Well maintained park with stunning, panoramic views of the city. Definitely a must-visit for tourists and locals alike. Dog friendly, with a plethora of spots to set up shop to read, picnic, or just take in the view. Note that the main view of the city does require some uphill walking - not fully accessible by car.

Bernal Heights is such a peaceful spot with one of the best panoramic views of San Francisco. It feels a bit more off the beaten path than Twin Peaks, and that’s part of the charm — fewer crowds, more calm. The view from the top is amazing: downtown, the bay, the bridges, and on a clear day, even out to the ocean. It’s also a great place to just sit and take in the city from above. It can get a little windy, so a jacket is a good idea, but overall it’s a quiet, beautiful escape right in the city. A hidden gem for sure.

This park is truly a gem, offering breathtaking panoramic views of San Francisco. I was fortunate enough to catch a silent disco event during my visit, which added to the overall experience. Furthermore, the park's terrain lends itself perfectly to an invigorating uphill hike, and the surrounding area is replete with outstanding restaurants to explore afterwards.

Bernal Heights Park is such a beautiful spot to visit! The hike up is easy and totally worth it for the amazing 360° views of San Francisco. It’s peaceful, open, and a great place to relax, take photos, or just enjoy the breeze. Whether you go for a walk, watch the sunset, or bring friends, the view from the top never disappoints. A perfect little escape in the city!
