Really nice park and playground, and they also have a splash pad that opens during the summer! We occasionally visit on Sundays throughout the summer since the Colorado Springs Sunday Market (a local farmer’s market) is held here weekly, typically from May through October. This year (2026), the market runs from May 10 through October 25 from 9 AM–2 PM. There’s usually a great variety of vendors, fresh produce, and other fun local items to browse and shop for. One thing to note though is that it can get very crowded during the Sunday market event, and parking in the immediate area can be fairly limited. Depending on how busy it is, you may need to park a bit farther away and walk into the park, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on visiting during market hours. Otherwise, it’s a very child- and pet-friendly spot overall, and my kiddo always loves visiting! 😊♥️☀️

This park is making amazing changes that will make it a family destination this summer. Huge outdoor playground/playscape. Historic Uncle Wilbur fountain and splash pad. Historic bandshell with live music Thursday evenings.

A cool park downtown. Has a neat jungle gym for kids. Has an ice skating rink in the winter. The Uncle Wilbur Fountain does not run any more. The animatronic always breaks & they are likely trying to conserve water by turning off the splash pad. Great shopping & restaurants nearby.

Wonderfully updated large playground that encourages a lot of interaction from children, or allows them to lay on and rest or read a book. There is also a large splash pad nearby. There are several picnic tables and benches located around the park, or grab a spot on the beautiful green grass. There are also a number of restaurants and quick bite establisments across the street as well as within a block or two of the park. Public, automated, touchless, single person bathrooms with a touchless handwashing sink in each.
