Cute little park with a decent-sized playground for both younger kiddos and bigger kids, plus lots of trees and shade throughout the area! 🌲 From our experience visiting, it’s also a pretty quiet park with much less foot traffic compared to some of the more popular parks around town, which was honestly really nice. My only real gripe is the lack of bathrooms or even a port-a-potty nearby, which can definitely be a little inconvenient — especially if you have kiddos (or even adults!) who need frequent bathroom breaks, particularly during hot summer days when everyone’s drinking way more water and liquids 😅 Other than that though, it’s a lovely little neighborhood park and a nice spot for kids to burn off some energy (bonus points that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of cars driving by that part of the neighborhood so it feels generally safer for kiddos that like to roam and run around)!

Nice shaded playground. No swings though. Nice paved trail to walk or ride bikes.

The trees & shade were lovely! Took 4 people stretching to encircled this tree. Highly recommend as a picnic spot if you are okay with eating on a blanket.

Beautiful little park, nice for a picnic with children. Great tree coverage and neat little playground. Found it on a bike ride (yay Pike Ride best ride share ever!!) Trail that goes a good distance.

Shooks Park continues south from Franklin Ave. to the railroad tracks just past Fountain Blvd. Bike path follows it on through to Fountain, CO. Beautiful area converted during Urban Renewal.
