4.5 stars Very large park in the city. Boasts monuments, playgrounds, lakes, places to sit, pavilions, and is home to the zoo. Many paths to ride your bike both paved and not. Lots of mature trees. Grass had not really come in during my trip so it was all brown.

I drove from Lincoln, NE, to Denver to run the city’s marathon, and it was amazing. This park is so huge and has so much to offer; well taken care of. Every city should have such big open places.

Expansive park with many paths and Denver Zoo. We walked hoping to catch the sunset. Saw a proposal, elephants and many walkers, runners and dogs. Felt safe even as darkness fell.

We typically Jazz in the park on Sundays. We like to be on the other side of the lake to listen to music and to kick it (music carries just fine). Parking isn’t bad and sooo many food trucks. Otherwise commute through the park there’s strange turn, you’ll need a mountain bike in so spots but worth the detour. Also a great big space to take pups

I visited Denver City Park today, and it was one of those experiences that reminds you why this city is so special. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, providing a perfect escape from the usual hustle. The first thing that caught my eye was the vibrant display of flowers. The colors were stunning and perfectly in bloom, making it impossible not to stop every few steps to capture some photos. Whether you are a professional photographer or just someone who enjoys a beautiful view, the floral arrangements right now are a must-see. As I continued my walk, I spent a good amount of time by the lake. There is something so calming about the way the light hits the water, especially with the city skyline and the mountains peeking out in the distance. I managed to get some great shots of the lake's reflection and the birds wandering near the shore. Everything felt very well-maintained and clean, which made the stroll even more enjoyable. It is a massive space, yet it feels intimate enough to find a quiet corner to just sit and take everything in. The park was lively today but didn't feel overcrowded, which gave me plenty of room to explore the different paths. Seeing the greenery against the blue sky and the sparkling lake water was the highlight of my afternoon. If you are looking for a spot in Denver to clear your head, get some exercise, or find some natural inspiration for your next project, this is definitely the place to be. It was a wonderful visit, and I’m so glad I took the time to document the beauty of the park today.
