Riverfront Plaza, right between the Main Street Bridge and the VyStar building, is the newest spot in downtown Jacksonville! It has open spaces perfect for events and a fun interactive water pad area that kids absolutely love. Plus, there’s a shaded play area with slides and a rope bridge that’s a hit with both kids and grown-ups. The restrooms are always clean and in great shape. There aren’t any food spots inside the park, but you can find food trucks just a block away. There is no park entrance fee as this is a public park. The park is patrolled on foot by police officers for added security. Soon to come are more attractions once Phase II of the Plaza is completed.

11/29/25 i am super excited to visit the re grand opening of the Riverfront Plaza!! This was my first time visiting in the Park and i gotta admit it looks really nice and pretty cool!! Family’s were having a great time, Clean park and tidiness. Security Officers and JSO present which is safe n secure. Very nice aaerial views. 10/10 Park and i recommend everyone to visit. Phase 2 will be complete soon and once it is complete it will be a bigger park with fun amazing events and adventures.

This park is beautiful. However the splash pad can be improved. Water does not splash unless adults help and even then so not a lot of water gets pushed out! It’s already too hot. As a parent we would like to have fun with the kids or even sit to enjoy our children having fun. But it’s not really fun when you have to apply way too much work to get even an ounce of water to come out. The water was very weak. Please fix this. It’s not fair to either the kids and parents.

The children’s Riverfront Park playground officially opened today to families waiting to be the first to visit the playground. Children met and joined other children to ride down the double slide, climb the rocks and just roll around on the grass. I can see this becoming so popular that it will be outgrown quickly. Well done Jacksonville!

Finally what DT Jax needs, a family-friendly place for outdoor fun. There is a unique park set up with lots of shade, a small water play area, and bathrooms.
