First off- parking is atrocious. This is why I give the park four stars instead of five :-) There is a tiny lot adjacent to park and recreation center but half the spots are marked for staff. You have to hunt the side streets for available parallel parking. There are only two entrances southeast corner on street and north west corner from parking lot. Fountain and splash pad closes at 7 PM, but the rest of the park is open until sunset. Splash area is small and sweet with four statues of lions pointing north south east and west and fountain spread between them. There are a ton of benches throughout the entire park, all of which appeared to have been donated and are in memory of someone . There are also a ton of picnic tables so feel free to bring your own lunch or dinner. The older section of the playground area is in nearly full sun. This part of the park needs a little love, and I would hope the city of Tampa would consider updating the equipment. It is handicap accessible with a wheelchair rail, and still very serviceable, but definitely fading, and the turf has lots of holes in it from wear and tear. The swing sets are brand new. There is a row of toddler/baby swings, and a row of regular swings in perfect condition. You can see areas where they’re beginning to renovate older playground equipment. There is a new toddler area that is brand new and a merry-go-round that is new as well. The basketball courts are an excellent repair with rubberized turf, and the landscaping throughout the park is freshly mulched, and the park itself is beautiful.

Anderson Park includes Anderson Playground. The park includes unshaded basketball courts in fairly good condition, a big kids playground area with climbing items and slides, a separate little kids and playground climbing item. The swings for big kids are not shaded but the baby swings are covered by a tarp. We really like the Lions Fountain splash pad and the two small tables reserved for children's activities. There are several shaded picnic tables. free street parking or parking in the free Hyde Park Village parking garage, about 2 blocks away. Wheel chair accessible restrooms in this great little park, a hidden gem.

Great place for the kids to play. They have different playgrounds for different ages, a small splash pad, and a basketball court! Beautiful park! With tons of trees for shade! Would be a great place for a picnic!

Very Cool Park with great walkability to shops and restaurants. Really walking path with cool sculptures and a water area. Small playground for younger children, large swing area, and huge rope playgrounds. That is really cool. Large covered park benches and large green space, as well as a large basketball court, are included as well.

Very nice little park in the village area with plenty of playground equipment (however outdated and weathered) and a mini splash pad for toddlers. There are very few parking spaces available in the lot but you can use the street along the park as well. There is a basketball 🏀 court on site too if you're looking to ball it out. Update: the bathrooms are unkempt and there is more trash on the ground than you'd expect in the village.
