Jetti Ostrander 2 weeks agoThis zoo was like any other zoo that we have been to. The parking was around $3 per hour or $12 for the day. The machine would not process my card, yes we did make sure my card wasable to be used there. So of course we had to use cash and didn't have exact change over payed by $3. It was over $80 for 2 to go into the zoo that took about a hour and a half to get through.
Jennifer Dowler 4 months agoI spent a morning at Grant Park when I was in Atlanta, and it turned out to be one of the nicest parts of my trip. The park is pretty big, with lots of shady trees and open green spaces that make it easy to wander without a plan. I went for a walk, sat for a bit on a bench near the paths, and just enjoyed being outside — it felt relaxed and welcoming instead of noisy or chaotic. One of the highlights for me was seeing the historic homes and neighborhoods around the park — it gave the whole place an old‑city charm that I didn’t expect. There’s also a zoo inside the park, which I didn’t go into this time around, but it made the place feel lively with families and kids around. I noticed plenty of people walking dogs, jogging, or just having picnics on the grass, so it really felt like a community spot rather than just a tourist stop. I grabbed a coffee nearby and brought it back to the park, which made for a nice little break in the middle of a day exploring Atlanta. There were clean rest areas and enough space that even when parts of the park were busy, it never felt crowded. Overall, Grant Park was a lovely place to slow down, enjoy some fresh air, and see a bit of local life — simple, pleasant, and well worth a visit if you’re in town.
Manda P-T 2 months agoAn incredibly maintained park in the heart of Atlanta. Great walking trails and even places to get a glance at some zoo animals! For a park the size it is in a busy city like Atlanta, I was pleasantly surprised it’s so clean! Went a few separate times on my visit, once for a vintage market and others to just explore and I was so impressed.

Lorie Orengo 10 months agoWe've been here about 4 to 5 times. We learn something new every time. Look for the volunteers they have so much knowledge. Jane, at the elephant encounter was so insightful and knowledgeable.
