Sandra R a month agoInteresting is the word. My first time there, so I had a little problem finding the scruptures. Which after I had walked around the entire park that's when I saw 3 of the statues, theyre not close together, but you can actually see them. Now one of them is totally off to itself. Not bad, if you're into chasing scruptures like I am... It was worth the time and gas, lol.
Rachelle Hicks 2 months agoWe were interested in the sculptures (didn’t photograph the Cowardly Lion whoops) but found much more. Lush green gardens. Kids on the playhouses. People picnicking and pushing strollers. The idea of this homage to the literary classic brought us there. The rest of the park is what we remember the most. Parking on a nice day is hard to come by, but it’s worth it.
Omar Breton Carrera 6 months agoIt's a nice place in a quiet neighborhood, great for walking around and relaxing with friends. Views are great experience with some parking spots avaliable if you're lucky. Playground doesn't allow dogs.
Bryan Whitehead a month agoTook the grandkids there. Trust me such playgrounds didn’t exist when I was a kid. Well maintained and clean, lots of happy children and families.
Priya Mahoney a month agoI had such a blast wandering through the neighborhood and stumbling upon the storybook statues; seeing the Tin Man in person was definitely the highlight of my walk. The Emerald City gardens are so well-maintained and provide a really peaceful atmosphere for just sitting and relaxing on the grass. One small thing that would make the experience even better is if there were a permanent restroom on-site instead of just the portable ones, especially when you're planning to stay for a while. It’s such a vibrant local spot with plenty of space for a picnic, though I do wish there were a few more signs pointing you toward the Cowardly Lion so he was easier to track down. Still, it’s a total gem of a park and felt like such a whimsical little escape from the city noise.
