Had a great Sunday visit to Sunset Park. I didnt know they had this beautiful lake in the park. We had a nice time at the playground and splash pad. Then we took a walk around the lake! Such a slice of serenity in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Vegas!

Sunset Park is easily one of the most versatile and well-loved outdoor spaces in the Las Vegas area—and for good reason. As the largest park in Clark County, it offers a little bit of everything, making it perfect for families, solo visitors, and anyone looking to unwind or stay active. The park really shines when it comes to variety. Whether you're into sports like tennis, basketball, volleyball, or softball, or you prefer something more laid-back like walking or jogging, there’s plenty of space to move. The trail system, especially around Sunset Lake and through the dunes, gives you a peaceful escape with scenic desert views and the chance to spot local wildlife. One of the standout features is the lake itself. It’s a great spot for fishing (with a license), and the fountains and waterfowl add to the relaxing atmosphere. The park also includes a well-maintained dog park with shaded areas and water stations, making it a favorite for pet owners. Families will appreciate the multiple playgrounds and shaded picnic areas, which are perfect for gatherings or a casual afternoon outdoors. For something a little different, the 18-hole disc golf course adds a fun, active twist. The park also hosts large-scale events like the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival, bringing a lively and unique energy to the space throughout the year. Located near the Harry Reid International Airport, you’ll often see planes flying overhead, which can be surprisingly enjoyable if you like that kind of view. Despite being close to the city, the park manages to feel like a desert oasis with its natural dunes and open layout. Like many large public parks, there are occasional concerns noted by visitors, such as the presence of homeless individuals. However, they generally keep to themselves and don’t significantly impact the overall experience for most guests. Overall, Sunset Park offers a balanced mix of recreation, relaxation, and natural beauty. Whether you’re planning a family outing, getting in a workout, or just looking for a peaceful place to reset, this park delivers.

Sunset Park is one of the best spots in Las Vegas for a relaxed day outdoors. The picnic areas are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of trash cans throughout, which really helps keep the park looking great. The playground is fantastic, with lots of activities that keep the kids entertained and active. It’s a great place for families to gather, unwind, and enjoy some fresh air. Highly recommend for an easy, enjoyable day at the park!

Great park! Had something for everyone. We didn't spend much time here but logged the mix of plants and wildlife with the amenities. We met Justin, who works there, and he was so very nice and helpful!
