This is a Huge Park, 57 acres. With nearby grocery and restaurants. There are 3 parking lots: Tennis Courts, Play Ground and Skate Park. It's best to park close to where you want to be because It took me an hour to walk all around it. It was very dirty around the Playground Pavilions, remnants from the weekend parties. The play equipment is modern and so much fun with spinning things. I think the wood chips needed to be refilled under the swings and spinning equipment. It's getting too deep to play well on them. The splashpad was simple and fun. Just blips of water shooting up from the ground. The skate park was huge and immaculate with lots of shaded seating and small stadium stand for spectators. There are large multi spicket WATER fountains found frequently around the park There is a community bord by the parking lot of the Playground. It is Tape only for your flyers. There are 3 TOILET stations around the park and they are scary. I've only seen toilets like them in old national parks. The are called Vault Toilets. Which is the nice modern way of saying Out Houses. Its room with a big hole you potty in, it collects in the bottom for a month or so and then a few time a year it's vacuumed out. The Vault toilets were so stinky. I can't even call these restrooms, There is no modern flushing capability to carry the stench away. This is a very well used park with crowds everyday. I would think those vault toilets get filled up fast. It was Tuesday when I visited and I guess the city hadn't had a chance to clean up from the weekend. The pavilions over by the tennis courts had overflowing trashcans. There were signs encouraging park goers to clean up but there was still lots of trash. There can be a lot of wind so maybe the trash blew out of the trashcans. Dog lovers will love this park. the dog park is HUGE. Wood chip filled with watering stations inside and a basket full of toys. There is rock wall attached to the back side of the racquetball courts, with Bocce courts and table tennis next to it. A 42 million dollar Aquatic center is going up between the old community center and Tennis courts. Planning and approval started in 2005 but building didn't start until 2024. No completion date has been given. I hope they consider putting in modern toilets and changing room for the splashpad area. The parking lot near the dog park had unique features. Handicap spaces were painted entirely Blue and Some spaces were painted red to designate Food Truck Parking.

I absolutely love this park! You have to get there early to nab a good spot because those who know, know 🤗 perfect place for a potluck, picnic, at the park!

A nice large public park on the North end of albuquerque. Didn't get to explore the entire part but they do have a lot of sports and playground facilities. Even in late November the colors were beautiful on the trees. Only thing that kept it from getting five stars was that the public toilets were not very well maintained.

It was nice but there's just no water running there. So if you forget your water bottle or you run out there's no way to refill it. We didn't see no water pad for My little one. The water fountains are turned off. I believe it's one of the biggest turn offs.
