On our trip to oklahoma city from out of state, this was our first stop in the city and how beautiful it was! The lake is just gorgeous. Fun skatepark, playground, and beautiful grounds to enjoy. For a moment I felt like I was at the beach.

This place is nice, I usually walk here in the morning before work and sometimes take my daughter during the day. I will say depending on the time and day, you will get two different vibes. Both are nice, one with kids playing and the other quiet.

There was a beautiful wedding going on so we drove around to the gravel road to enjoy the lake views.

This park is named Stars & Stripes Park and is themed in red, white, and blue as a tribute to America and its history. We visited on Memorial Day weekend and were honestly appalled by the condition of the park. The grass had clearly not been mowed in weeks. Mulch was scattered everywhere, trash covered parts of the grounds, and all of the signs were aged, peeling, faded, and neglected. The entire place felt rundown and forgotten. Nothing about the park reflected honor, pride, or respect for our country. The foundation responsible for maintaining this park has clearly allowed it to fall into disrepair. We brought six children ranging in age from 3 to 11, and not a single one wanted to stay and play because the park felt so uninviting. There is virtually no shade around the playground areas, and the only picnic area nearby had an overflowing trash can with flies swarming everywhere. On a holiday weekend, when increased traffic should be expected, there should absolutely be additional trash receptacles or staff checking and emptying the existing ones regularly. My husband is a disabled veteran, and I spent his military years alongside him supporting his service. Seeing a park meant to honor America presented in this condition was deeply disappointing. This is not the kind of tribute I want my grandchildren associating with our country or the sacrifices made by those who served. We will not be returning. This park, especially given its namesake and purpose, deserves far better care and respect.

Still an awesome place to get out at but the parks a bit out dated it seems. The lakes been so under water level these past few years but this year 2025 some how it's at max capacity. Strange but nice for a evening walk
