Actually we went to the BMX bicycle track just past the ballpark! Cool place that I didn't know existed! Clean, looks well maintained several picnic tables to sit and have lunch at! We had a day party with pizza from Costco!

You guys have no idea what this place was like in 1991 to a kid... Somebody please save this place and transform it. This belongs in the MLB A league again. I can remember growing up and Pedro living next to me in The Willows apartments called Sunrise now I believe. I remember playing catch with him and Jesus in the apartments.. I remember the back gates of the stadium open and playing catch with Mike and Jesus Martinez. I remember Dino Ebel. Sitting behind the stadium waiting for Mike to smash a homerun ball. I remember Karim Garcia smashing balls out too. I remember the snowcones the smell of the popcorn. It was special.. I'll always be thankful for this place. I grew up right there. No internet. No cell phones. I miss the Bakersfield Dodgers.

We go to the Metro BMX Track . My Grandsons race There Bicycles there great place Affordable family outings great people .

Could be a five star but work is still being done. Great park for Baseball R/C car dirt track is DOPE. They Also batting cages. For those Big Poppies out there

Looked into this field a little bit, used to be home to the high-A minor league affiliate of most recently the Mariners and then even the Reds. Looks like now it hosts Independent League games for the Bakersfield Train Robbers. There is an outdoor batting cage out front which is closed on Sundays. Would love to catch a game at this vintage looking ballpark and see it more lively than we got to see.
