Hernandez 3 weeks agoWent here when there was nothing going on. There's a lot to see and it's a nice walking spot. I'm eager to come back to this location for an actual event. I found some spooky spots & kinda want to come back when it's a little darker or cloudy. I've heard some of the buildings are haunted.
Calling Spots 2 weeks agoI’d put this down as a ‘must do’ if visiting Dallas. Amazing park filled with old buildings that have been saved from demolition. The only thing better than walking around the buildings is the warm welcome and hospitality from the lovely ladies in the visitor centre. 10/10.
Sandra Reining 3 months agoYou spend a lovely morning walking through the tree lined streets of City Park. It had several buildings open, so we could go inside and check everything out. The park department owns it now, and they are renovating some of the buildings, and everything was beautiful. Can't wait to go back and see the improvements, and the new furnishings that they are going to have. The admission is free too!
Apollo Dental a month agoI recently spent some time at City Park and it felt like a quiet break from the busier parts of downtown Dallas. The park is fairly simple—nothing too fancy—but that’s part of its charm. There are open green spaces where you can sit and relax, and it doesn’t feel overcrowded. When I went, it was mostly calm, with a few people walking or just taking a break during the day. It’s not the kind of park with a lot of attractions or activities, so don’t expect playgrounds or sports facilities. But if you just need a place to clear your head, eat lunch, or sit outside for a while, it works well enough. Overall, it’s a decent small urban park—quiet, straightforward, and best suited for short, low-key visits rather than spending a whole day.
Sum Sum 4 months agoIf you like history, this place is for you. It's like stepping back in time. There were only 6 buildings open with little displays. Many buildings need to be fixed up yet, I hope they can get the funding because this place would be awesome to see all the buildings and have staff play the part as someone long ago.
