A beautiful place to take a break when working at the convention center. Beautiful trees, kind people, lots of greenery and seating. My favorite part of visiting Houston for work ❤️ I was also able to catch a bit of a jazz performance on a Sunday, it was awesome. I love seeing that many people together celebrating music and it was free!

This place was so beautiful we were lucky enough to be able to watch a movie on the lawn. Plenty of snacks around and the atmosphere alone with the buildings was amazing! Paddle boats, playground around...everything was great here even just to sit and relax

I've had only positive experiences at this park. It's a nice park south activities, and large enough to hold events like Jazzy Sunday in the parks, The Igbo Festival, as well as other community events. I enjoy going with my family and friends. You can bring a cooler, blanket, chairs. No glass bottles that will be visible. Snacks are available from local restaurants and some vendors when they are open. You can even get a plastic carafe of wine from one of the restaurants. Going into the warm seasons, there is kayaking and paddle boats. A roller skating rink and ice skating are both seasonal. There is a hill for the kids to slide down and a water park.

Yoga in the park at 6:30 on Wednesday night at Discovery Green...Yes Please! This is a most amazing event. We connect to our breath and do selfcare under the Houston sky. Afro Yoga Queen teaches an all inclusive, all levels class that even services a VIP wheelchair section! You have to experience it at least once this summer.

It was a delightful experience watching Carols on the Green with Houston Grand Opera at Discovery Green. The atmosphere was festive, and the nearby convention center had a beautiful display of Christmas tree decorations that added to the charm. Since the park is in downtown Houston, parking can be a bit pricey unless you find street parking. We ended up using a lot at the corner of Lamar and San Jacinto, which charged $12 for the entire evening.
