Absolutely wonderful playground! It’s clean, well-maintained, and has great equipment to keep the kids entertained for hours. I love that they have plenty of picnic tables available—it makes it so easy to pack a lunch, set up a snack station, and actually sit down comfortably while keeping an eye on the kids. Definitely our new favorite spot!

Trails are fun and well maintained, dog friendly but must be on a leash, mostly shaded except for the open area across the bridge with volley ball courts and two picnic shelters complete with permanent corn hole and grills. There are dog poop stations throughout with bags that stay refilled. The rest of the park has wonderful nature to see and at least two to three more picnic shelters complete with grills and permanent corn hole and a playground for the young ones or those that still access their inner child. A great relaxing fun place to visit anytime of day sunrise to sunset. The newly renovated pavilion is also a great rental for any event as it is complete with it's own bathrooms and kitchenette and fireplace and patio area.

Very well maintained park. When we visited one path was closed for repairs. Playground is best suited for toddlers and little kids.

This is a great family park. They have several covered picnic areas, a playground, sand volleyball, basketball, and cornhole (bring your own bags). The walking trails in the woods are nice but not very long. You can extend your walk by going to the field behind the baseball fields. There are nice views of the water, plenty of picnic tables, and several trash and recycle bins. The area is well maintained and clean.

Great Neck Park. Despite it being quite underwhelming, it is one of the most peaceful, and secluded parks in town. At the very end of Shorehaven Dr., this park is overlooked by many as Great Neck Rec Center, Cox High School, and a variety of sports fields all precede it. It seems quite small until you realize there are some unique trails that provide access to an overlook of the Lynnhaven Bay. There are the standard playground and basketball courts, as well as overhead shelters. The abundance of natural vegetation and trees lead me to rank this as one of the best parks in the city if you are looking for a place to take a serene walk in the morning, or to get away from city life. The hidden trail to the water, and the awesome gazebo, are two great characteristics that make this park stand out.
