My husband, son, and I went to this park last weekend when the cherry blossoms were at their peak and then we went again today for the Cherry Blossom Festival. There were significantly less blooms today but still so beautiful! A wonderful park to walk, ride your bike and let your little one run wild in the open areas. Also, the Asian garden at the front of the park is so gorgeous. Lovely all the way around.

One of the most beautiful parks in Virginia Beach! There is a quiet Japanese Garden, where you can sit by a little fountain and listen to the water flowing, there’s new asphalt on a road, lots of shelters for rent, volleyball nets, tennis courts, which are currently under renovation, lots of parking spots and trails to walk around. Dog park and playground for the kids. Spring makes this park a place to unwind and reconnect with nature 🌺

We have loved this park since I was a kid in the 90s. Now I bring my kids and even host a homeschool play ground once a week so the kids can run wild and play. We will forever enjoy the park. The new upgrades of the road widen and what seams to be pending new bathroom and tennis court are im sure gonna be wonderful too

Stopped by at the tail end of cherry blossom season not too long ago, despite the blooms being nearly all gone it was still beautiful and breathtaking to experience nonetheless. Even without the cherry blossoms this park is a must see for anyone that cares for nature with a side of history.

Free and open to the public. Any age can enjoy a visit here. Bring the family and friends out for a fun time. The park is safe well maintained. One of the best times to visit is early spring when the cherry trees blossom. There's plenty of open spaces for the kids to run free and wild. Open fields to play any sport. Picnic tables. Multiple playgrounds. Tennis courts. Trails. Volleyball nets. Basketball court. Restrooms. Japanese garden. There's plenty of parking, but on the weekends during peak cherry tree blossoming, you may have to drive to the back of the park to find parking. There's also fenced dog parks for our furry family members to run free or meet a new friend.
