It’s hard to believe this park is right in the middle of the city—it truly feels like a hidden forest. As you walk through, you’ll find a small creek, stairs, and trails with ups and downs that make it perfect for exploring. It’s surrounded by trees and greenery, which makes it a great escape from the noise of the city. Some areas can get a bit muddy, but that’s part of the charm. It’s a great spot for walking, running, or just relaxing and enjoying nature. Definitely a unique and peaceful place.

This is an old growth forest in West Seattle. “Old growth” means it has never been logged. Moderate trails throughout with a stream running through the park down to Puget Sound. Free. Easton street parking.

Great spot to get lost in the woods in West Seattle. Very mature growth trees and a maze of trails around the preserve. Very green and forested. No signage in park for trails, but Google Maps is pretty spot on for the trail system in preserve.

What an incredible opportunity for W Seattle! The colors, the sounds, the location and the simple joy of just walking and observing your surroundings. Such a treat to spend some time in here going solo...talk about replenishing the spirits! Outstanding trails! Go get some!

Right off the main road but feels like you’re in a different world. Can be hard to find the entrance as it’s literally off a Main Street with little signage, but once you find it, it’s quite wonderful to walk through. Could spend hours in here lost in the greenery and calm.
