Shame on you LA and the LA Mayor. What an absolute disgrace. I visited MacArthur Park recently as its years since I was last there . What could be a beautiful tranquil peaceful place and it would be if it was in Paris, London or my home country of New Zealand, this was a dirty, disgraceful open air asylum. People lying around in various states of consciousness, people masturbating, people urinating, faeces everywhere. It was an open air drug market with people openly dealing and then injecting or smoking the drugs. What a disgusting place, again, this could be something beautiful and to be proud of. LA Mayor Karen Bass, you're a disgrace too, do something about it.

2 years ago I wouldn't be caught anywhere near here after the sun set. Still not the place you want to hang out socially.... I can say though that I didn't feel like I was in danger and no one bothered me on my way home which is a massive improvement! Was even able to take a lovely picture of the moon over the lake without it being cluttered by trash, wandering homeless zombies, etc. (Unaltered, no ai, cell phone picture) If you look closer, the date/time stamp will show this was taken near midnight on 6/19/26. Yes, it's not perfect but it is much improved and honestly-never thought I'd see the day (night) that this would happen

Really beautiful park if you want to spend an afternoon in the sunny weather. Great for picnics, kid- and pet-friendly. The park welcomes everyone.

I like the outdoors. Mac Arthur park is a beautiful spot outside of the reality of Los Angeles. The homeless population is increasingly using phentenol and exacerbating an already toxic living environment. Mac Arthur Park is still a beautiful place to visit, with family, and alone.

Beautiful display of nature in the midst of concrete. Areas to sit and watch the fountain and birds.
