Rebecca C 8 months agoVista Hermosa Park is a large 10.5-acres park in the middle of the city of Los Angeles. There is decent parking, an incredible green space, a play area for kids and a soccer field in an all grassy area with incredibly rare views of downtown. 🚻 Restrooms 🐕 This park is ideal to bring your dogs to 🧺 Benches for picnics or sitting. 🏞 Large Grass areas 🌳 Trees for shade 🚗 Parking on the street and in a gated parking lot 💧 Water Fountains 🗑 Trash bins ⚽️ Soccer Field 🚲 Trail or path thru the park 🦋 Nature Trail 👣 with native plants 🛝🐢 Children's Play Area The Park itself is a widely open area with large fields, incredibly large trees for shade and a tranquil view. It's astounding to see you are in the middle of the city while in this park, because it feels like a forest in places, especiallynext to the running stream. This park is perfect for an afternoon picnic, spending a moment in nature, or taking a walk on the pathway. The Children's area is limited with a concrete turtle-slide thats difficult to slide down and some spaces to climb. There is also a snake that winds around the area which is very cute to see. Unfortunately this area caters to younger children but since the park is close to the street on this side, the younger children definitely require supervision while playing here. Scattered through the park are breathtaking vistas of Los Angeles City. I'd recommend to plan a stop here for at least an hour while enjoying the serene landscape found here.
Anna V Garibay a year agoSecret LA gem! Gorgeous, clean park with a fantastic view of DTLA! Wheelchair accessible! Dog paradise! Soccer field! Free parking! You get it all here! The lot is small and parking is difficult to get. The park is nice and spacious. Ideal for joggers. Lots of well manicured lawn space for a nice lunch! There’s a kids area! The artificial waterfall was not running. There’s an info center. Trash cans everywhere! Clean bath to with soap! Simply awesome!
Eriq Moreno a month agoSo this park..I came across it by accident. I was having a not so good day about a year ago..just aimlessly driving I decided to take a turn onto this road and I went in to the parking lot to Vista Hermosa National Park. And it truly is a lovely view as it says in the parks name. I took a walk went around the hillside parts and discovered beautiful views of Downtown Los Angeles. I have been going back to have peaceful quiet moments ever since. Bring your lunch, a pillow, blanket and a book to read. But seriously keep this place our little secret. Honestly, lol, Ive only shared about this park through Google..I have not and will not be letting my friends know about my sanctuary in the middle of the concrete jungle.
Chris Westwood a year agoVista Hermosa is more than just a park—it’s a sanctuary. From its leafy trails and family-friendly spaces to dramatic views of DTLA’s skyline, it offers a bit of serenity with a city skyline backdrop. Whether you're meeting friends, enjoying solo downtime, exercising, picnicing, or seeking a quick reset between meetings, this little haven delivers.
