Feel like a walk? Take the loop around Lake Merritt for a nice leisurely afternoon walk, or run like many others. If you want something quicker, rent some of the Bird or Lime scooters that are everywhere. Plenty of places to stop and sit, as it is about 3 1/2 miles all the way around. Grassy areas abound, if you want to spread a blanket. Only problem is the parking on a warm sunny weekend, so perseverance is the key, if you keep looking, you will find one. At least it is free in most places!

I always enjoy my morning run along lakeside park. Especially during the summer. The sun is bright and the view is amazing. It is good for an early morning workout. Visit when you get the chance.

Beautiful Park but need more accessible restrooms beautiful beautiful park Great Walk you can see so much of Oakland beautiful at night the whole walk has lighting so you can walk at night or daytime the water is clean the paths are clean people are friendly nice place to go good for bike riding walking jogging or just chilling

Clean lake with nice view, you can go around the lake, and there are plenty of free parking around. There are a lot of people walking and running there, sitting, staying, laying, exercising, sometimes it's hard to find quite place.

A friend's mom moved in there this year. It is a memory care facility. We have visited and taken her out often. My impressions are good.
