A great park is a signpost of a thriving community and Roosevelt Park is one of Sacramento's best. This small park effectively serves it niche in the community by offering basketball courts, softball/kickball fields, and yes, even an outdoor gym. Not all parks need to be elaborately grand. It is best to evaluate a park on whether it is used and valued by it's community, and in that regard, Roosevelt Park covers all its bases. It's utilitarian, egalitarian, and just plain fun. Roosevelt Park offers a space for people to interact with each other and actually be a community. The people that frequent it are very friendly and welcoming. It's safe and peaceful, even so at night. I just hope that this review helps contribute to making this park even better.

Decent place, pretty solid. A few minor things could be better but nothing major. Will likely come back.

its great nice place probably felt safest there with all my valuables out at 11pm when playing basketball with no lights. Guy recycling cans and platic cool and helped clean all my plastic water bottles that i was too lazy to pick up, smoked alittle joint no problems, brought an extra ball got others to train as well ppl playing with their dogs at 11pm at night

Went to the park for the Sac Fry Fest. It was a fantastic event in a very nice park. The seating was on the basketball courts which you could tell had been very recently re-paved.
