Great dog park for anyone who lives nearby. There’s hardly anywhere to park for anyone who drives.

If the hours were better I would rank this higher, I’m not a fan of dawn to dusk hours when it’s 60* or more outside and 7pm and the park is closed! There is a wonderful playground here, though, lots of walking space and paths as well with benches. Even on the busiest of weekends in KC this park is under utilized because of it being closed off by I-70 & the Heart of America Bridge. There is easy walking to get there, and is about a 10 min walk from the City Market Streetcar stop down 5th st. Well worth stopping by with kids, and is a very safe and friendly neighborhood.

I recently discovered a beautiful little nook and cranny called Columbus Square Park this Summer...the language of any day I was there was Peace And Quiet. Great human/fur baby walking trail through the park and an adorable surrounding neighborhood filled with Craftsman homes and a beautiful church just a block over...on one particular day, the entire neighborhood smelled of garlic and Italian food and most likely there was a luncheon event being held at the church...I think Billy Joel might've gotten some inspiration for his song, "Our Italian Restaurant" from this hidden gem of a neighborhood (haha) Suffice it to say, I have been a "repeat offender" when it comes to spending some "soul nurturing" time somewhere where the insanity of LIFE takes a respite...

Quiet, clean and well kept, neighborhood park at the edge of downtown Kansas City and the River Market. Lots of big old trees, benches, picnic tables, and dog/people water fountain.

Lovely local park with a newly updated playground. Plenty of picnic seating, lots of grassy areas with shade, and a generally quiet area in the city. Cute little coffee shop and food options within walking distance.
