Centennial Park

Such an iconic city park. It has paved trails for running, walking, biking, strollers, etc, ponds to bird watch next to, beautiful lawns for games, picnics, sunbathing, etc. As well as the centerpiece, the Parthenon which is beautiful and incredible. There is also a pretty cool playground for the kids and plenty of benches, picnic tables, and seats for relaxing.

The park is under construction all around and inside the Parthenon was closed. Otherwise, the park is great place to hang out. Only a few homeless people on the grounds. The flowers and flowering trees were beautiful! Paths are concrete and smooth for walking, or riding bikes. They don't allow skateboarding or rollerblading signs say....weird. There are beautiful statues and information about the time periods and people who made it possible for this to be a park for the community! We saw a man fishing in the lake. Canadian geese were there grooming and eating up the bugs. They are not afraid of dogs or children!! We spent about 1 1/2 hours biking and admiring the statues. There was a young woman getting her pictures taken all around the different features, which was a beautiful sight. I would think this park would be a great place to have an event, i.e. wedding, engagement, family gathering etc Parking was limited to 2 hours but free. We went midday and found parking. I bet at lunchtime you won't find a parking spot anywhere! It's a beautiful park to hang out on a beautiful day!

My fiancé and I took a stroll through Centennial Park to check out the different monuments and see the Parthenon, and it really is such a gorgeous spot to walk around. The Parthenon building itself is stunning and makes for some beautiful photos, even on a cloudy day. Just a heads up, the Parthenon is currently closed until June 28th. The only downside was that there was unfortunately quite a bit of trash around the park and in the water, which was disappointing to see in such a beautiful area. Overall though, it was still a lovely place to explore while in Nashville!

Great park featuring the Partheon (spelling?), a vast area of grass and space. It's right next to the water with benches to enjoy the view or take pictures. Don't feed the ducks bread!! Read the signs and go check out the Taylor Swift bench.

This is one of the best places to spend your time, whether solo or with family. It offers a 360-degree view with modern and contemporary structures. A green playground with a walking path makes this park fun.
