Kelvin Flood 4 months agoHere we goooooo!!! So I know im not the only one that gets caught up in day-to-day life. Well, when things get a little tense for the wife and I we come here and feed the ducks and geese (if thats spelled correctly). Its a quick getaway in Arlington thats tranquil with a nice trail around the pond. If you ever need to escape and allow your mind to be at peace, come check this park out.
John Eckelbarger 11 months agoNice pit stop for duck watching, but traffic tempers the peace🚦 Gateway Park sits right along Arbrook, which makes finding it easy. But, you end up trading accessibility for a steady hum of cars. Best spot for parking is in the roundabout area at the end of Alexandria Dr — which is right across from Breakfast & Much More and Steak ‘n Shake 🚗 The small pond is packed full of ducks; fun if you have some duck food, but a bit much if you’re looking for quiet. The paved loop is short but runs all the way around the pond. So, plenty of access points to getting closer to the wildlife 🦆 Tip: Although you’re allowed to feed the ducks seed (not bread), it’s certainly not mandatory. They’re everywhere, so you can get close to them with or without food 🥬 Overall, giving Gateway Park a solid 4 stars. Definitely worth a visit if you live nearby or want a kid-friendly duck-feed, but not a destination park.
Chowdhury Zaman 2 years agoA place of serenity and solitude in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. The water body is surrounded by lush greenery, providing ample shade. The park and the water are populated by ducks, geese and swans that seem to give this place an identity of its own. If you're looking to spend some quality time surrounded by flora and fauna, this place is highly recommended.
Trained Diva 10 months agoThis is a really nice park to walk around the pond and feed the ducks. The ducks come right up to you. DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS BREAD!!! Feed them seeds and veggies.
Autumnn a year agoThis is a place I call home. Although they usually had lots of trash in the pond and people steal and place different types of ducks here. It seems more clean than before considering they cleaned a few years back.
