Civic Park at Hemisfair

(This review is more about the restrooms than the actual park which is lovely.) Unfortunately, as someone that benefits from using these restrooms at night, I have to say that they need to be shut down for night usage if at all possible. They’re a breeding ground for predators, sexual activity, drug usage, many young people use these restrooms at night also putting them at risk for being exploited. I’ve walked into the restroom many times and there were males and females on both sides. The entrance and walkway is designed in a way where if you glance a certain way you can see into the other sexes side of the restroom (and people do look). I’ve been using them for a minute at night now for their intended purpose and it seems pretty irresponsible to keep them open at night (at least unguarded) or change them to pay-per-use, they’re a petry dish for debauchery and disaster, at the very least keeping them open at night is a trap. But I feel like the benefits of that outweigh the good and more people are getting opened up for potential victimization.

Great wade pool for kids. Plenty of places to sit and take water shoes so you can run between areas. My umbrella was helpful and towel. 5 mini pools with fresh clean water. We enjoyed the visit and parked at the Magik Theater pay to park. This is apart of Hemisphere, splash pad is located past Yanaguana Garden along with additional parking!

The NBA Game 2 finals watch party was terrible. You can’t take alcohol in and their bar was very limited to crappy drink options, NO LIMES, and two food carts only. Speakers were way too loud as if the people at The Alamo needed to hear the game too. What a huge disappointment, never coming back for a watch party.

Beautifully designed park for everyone in the middle of dowtown. A perfect place to hang out, especially if you have toddlers, they can get into the water with proper swimsuit. For adults we can soak our tired feet and enjoy the nice weather and cold breeze. I saw people soak their feet in the water with their sandals on, and there's no sign to ask people take off their sandals/shoes before soak their feet in the water. That's the only complaint I would give to the park management.

Been going to Hemisfair park since I was a kid now I take my kids ! Civic Park is a great addition! I cannot wait till it’s all complete ! My son loved the water wading addition they had we definitely got our feet wet in there ! Plenty of space , great place for picnics or just to walk and enjoy beautiful San Antonio !
