Designed by Lawrence Halprin in 1976; this park intends to weave the city on both sides together, through its undulating landscape and topography, and offers a place of serenity within the city. Yet, it is a huge pity that the park is now mostly occupied by homeless, making it difficult to navigate.

The name says it all; there was no entrance fee. I was planning on doing a walk through to just check it out. It ended up being so tranquil that decided to practice my embroidery, as seen in the photo.

the vibe is great! just be kind and say hi - people are freindly and will usually strike up a conservation. Everyone has a unique story, and you'll meet some truly amazing individuals it's a perfect spot to saok up the sun and relax . there are always different events to join in on, too. just stay mindful of your surrondings while you enjoy the park.

Love this park, we remember when they built it. So convenient to the Convention Center and First Hill medical offices. But this park sorely needs regular care and maintenance. Maybe it should be shut off at night (like Waterfall Park) so that the homeless don't sleep here all the time? And someone needs to pick up the garbage regularly. Wish they would turn on the beautiful water listening City of Seattle?!)

Love this park. Dispite the looks it’s safe. Just be kind say hi to people and they’re gonna say hello back. Everyone has a story and some of the individuals here have amazing stories and are great people but do remember to be aware of what is happening around you. It’s a good spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Has many diffeeent events and things for everyone to participate in
