I enjoyed this place very much. If possible go during the work week there are so much less people. It only costs to park $30 and that requires waiting in a line. I was staying in downtown San Diego. I rode the blue rail trolley ($2.50) to UTC station. Arrived at the platform went down three flights and then crossed the street and found bus 101 ($2.50) to Ocean Side. The bus says breeze and is blue/orange ( very different from other red/white buses). Got off right at the entrance. ($5.00 total). Arrived little after 8am walked all three trails then exit the reserve walked down on the beach swam. Bus 101 back then UTC to Santa Fe. I had a great day and memories to last a lifetime

So gorgeous, so well kept, and such a fun day spent here. There’s a huge variety of trails to walk and the views in every single one do not disappoint. We parked on the road near north beach and it was a bit of a walk, but not having to deal with long lines to get in or paid parking was a huge plus.

My favorite local hiking spot! It gets crowded on weekends, especially in the warmer months, but midweek and fall/winter weekends are just fine. Go for the amazing views over the ocean, plenty of hiking options, and the trail down to the beach. You can stay on the paved path all the way up to Torrey Pines Golf Club if you’re not keen on the trails. It pays to get a California State Pass if you’re going to hike here or go to Torrey Pines State Beach regularly. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach or trails. Watch for unstable cliffs— people have been killed when they collapse.

Really beautiful state park. Parking on the close lot is tough, but the slightly further lot has plenty of availability. The hikes here are beautiful, cycling through here also recommended. There is one water refill station halfway up the big climb, use this as there is none at the top. The staircase down to the beach isn’t nearly as scary as they make it seem

This was an incredible experience. We drove up, parked and walked a trail. The view is stunning. I am so glad we decided to go here. After the hike we stopped by the beach. I'm so glad we came here.
