Hellyer Park is an overlooked gem, offering fun features for the kids, and designated areas held out for rent/reservation, velodrome for serious cyclists, trails for pedestrians and bikers, dog park for off leash play, a lake for anglers (no swimming) and plenty of open space to enjoy. The water level varies in summer, check ahead during drought season.

I spent an afternoon at Hellyer County Park and had a very relaxing experience. The park was clean, well-maintained, and offered plenty of open space to walk, exercise, or simply enjoy the outdoors. The walking and biking trails were easy to follow, and the natural scenery made the visit peaceful and refreshing. There were plenty of shaded areas, picnic spots, and open green spaces for families and groups. The atmosphere felt calm and safe, making it a great place to unwind away from the busy city environment. The lake and surrounding landscape added a nice touch to the overall experience. The facilities were well-kept, and the park was easy to navigate. Whether you're looking for a casual walk, a bike ride, or a relaxing day outdoors, it offers something for everyone. Overall, Hellyer County Park is an excellent destination for outdoor recreation, relaxation, and spending quality time with family or friends.

My first time in this location. Park is having lots of shade and very convenient for kids. The only issue is that you need to pay for parking and they don’t have apple pay , only physical card or cash. Still one of the best park we visited

Nice park for a sunset walk. It gets pretty sunny in the morning. Plenty of open grill and picnic bench. It is part of a longer coyote trail. Lot of parking spots. Nice views. Paid entrance & parking. Entrance and exit is through a road leading to highway, sometimes gets a ton traffic. Good for wildlife spotting like turkey, woodpecker, hawk, vulture, hogs, deer, coyote, fox, bob cat, turtle, duck. Hotspot for bird watching: over 15 different species spotted till date

It’s a beautiful and well kept park. I rode my bike through here via Coyote Creek Trail. People enjoy this park every week. It has a good playground, lots of open field, picnic tables, restrooms, and a small lake to fish in. No sports equipment, like basketball courts, but you can play frisbee or soccer or set up a volleyball net. They also have an outdoor velodrome. I think this is one of the more relaxing parks in the South Bay.
