Beautiful place for a quick walk or hangout. The Southern live oak trees are lovely with their low hanging branches for you to also sit or hang on. Couple of fountains and paved walkways to walkabout. Plenty of sun, or shade, to fit your fancy. Lower garden districts little slice of community is affluent here.

Just a block away from my house, great smaller NOLA park to walk the dog, have a picnic, get some sun, frisbee, Climb the Live Oaks. Pretty well maintained, partly because I pick up the discarded trash in the park and along the curb line regularly when I'm in town. Great and clean fountains.

Great park. Small in space but big on personality. Two water fountains ⛲that kinda cools the breeze. Great place to bring your dogs 🐕 or have a picnic or a kegger. There is something for everyone at coliseum park.

Took my dog here in the middle of a hot afternoon and it was lovely. People were letting their dogs cool off in the huge, shallow fountain and it was surrounded by benches to hang out in the sun and about a block or two of green space underneath huge, amazing old oak trees. People were scattered around on blankets or not, just reading or chilling out. Very cool. One guy was even in a hammock (not sure if anyone was going to yell at him for using the old trees but it seemed ok)
