Neuse River Trail

This is another awesome trail in the city. It's offers over 27 miles of paved, and mostly shaded paths. This easy trail connects other trails and parks along the way and has several great views and scenic bridges. Not too crowded for a Saturday morning but more bikes than people. The bikers are always friendly and most will alert you when they are approaching, which I really appreciate. This is a great trail for biking, running, walking, and dogs on a leash. I didn't see any loops but only managed a mile before turning around. I'll definitely be visiting again soon. Parking was a little limited and could get full fast. They may be additional art installations along the trail but I only saw one at the trail head.

This section of the Greenway is relatively easy walking for all ages. There's a couple of great spots to get up close to the river to enjoy it. Parking is limited, so thats a con. No bathrooms, no benches or tables. This is good for a walk or bike ride but if you need to make bathroom breaks often, this is not the section for you.

Beautiful place to chill by the river. The lovely trail goes along the river but you can't really see the river much from the trail. We found a trail off the main trail down to the river instead of using a open, designated river spot.

Awesome trail. Easy access. Well marked. Both bike and pedestrian friendly. Miles of trails to access so you can go for as long or little as you like. Scenery along the river is beautiful. Looking forward to exploring more miles of the trails.

Love this trail, its beautiful, quiet, and very long (27.5 Miles!) so you are not just walking in circles. It runs along the scenic Neuse River and connects to several auxiliary trails as well. Next time, I want to try kayaking!
