A lovely children’s park with a playground that feels more like a treehouse than a standard play area. The design invites kids to climb, explore, and use their imagination, keeping them happily engaged. It has a warm, adventurous feel that makes playtime more fun and memorable. A great spot for kids to enjoy an active, creative break outdoors.

Small playground for children. They have basic stuff available. There is a dog park right next to it too FYI, if your child is scared of dogs. It’s right across the street from the convention center. They also have a water fountain . There’s a security guard too in the booth. Watch out for homeless people though. There’s some benches to sit on

Fun to see. The water fountains were a little dirty. Maybe that’s the reason why wading is NOT allowed. We walked through as we made our way from Petco field to Seaport Village in San Diego. Grateful they had public restrooms. Fun to see. Fun for little kids.

Great park overall. San Diego Children’s Park has a ton of open space and is really well laid out, which makes it easy to spend a good amount of time there without it feeling crowded or chaotic. It’s great for all ages, not just little kids. There’s plenty going on with the basketball courts and pickleball courts if you want to be active, and it’s also a solid spot to just walk around or hang out. The dog park area is a nice addition too and makes it even more versatile if you’re bringing a dog along. We liked that everything felt open and easy to navigate, and there was enough room for everyone to do their own thing without it feeling packed. It also seemed clean and well kept, which you don’t always get with parks in busier areas. Overall just a really well-rounded park. Good mix of activities, plenty of space, and a nice place to relax or be active for a while. Definitely one of the better spots if you’re in the area.

We had a stellar experience at this park with an 8 month old. Although intended for toddlers + above, we had a great time on the swings and watching the older kids go down the slides. The public restroom was very clean and accessible with security. The adjacent water structure was intriguing to walk through and kept our baby's attention. Looking forward to visit again once older to make full use of the pirate ship play structure!
