I visited this park for a tennis match and was pleasantly surprised by its size and the number of people present. Located in a residential area, the park saw a surge in visitors as the sun set. They have a BBQ area that’s pet-friendly, which is a great addition. The tennis courts are well-maintained, but they don’t compare to the best courts I’ve played on. There are restroom facilities and other sports amenities available. There’s ample parking around the park, making it convenient for visitors.

Location of the park draws homeless people however the play structures were recently updated and are amazing for toddlers as well as older pre teens. Half the play structures are shaded perfect for the summer. There is a huge grass area where you can toss a football or fly a kite. I did not pay attention to the basket hoops, handball wall, tennis courts, bathrooms or the baseball area. Walking distance to restaurants donut shop and liquor store.

Backesto Park is a peaceful spot to relax. Dog friendly areas are a plus, and the picnic tables make it easy to have a small gathering.

I Love this place, a great little hike uphill yet with beautiful sunny views of the valley called Haven...on its streets. Top views were awesome 😎

Great city park with plenty to do! Lots of sports options, picnic areas, and even food vendors. Perfect for walking dogs or just hanging out.
