We came with a group of Seniors to see Christmas in the Park. We visited in early January so the real Christmas rush had passed but the decorations were still nice, and we appreciated being able to move at a slower pace.

This long plaza sits across the street from the San Jose Museum of Art. The central water works offer a splash pad for kids and adults alike. Several benches and tables with bright orange umbrellas ring the water fountains. Both ends of the plaza offer green areas with lots of shade and park benches. The toilet kiosk offers sign in Braille and free entry. The park is ringed by parking by app or coins or credit card, some spots are good for 2 hours and some for 30 minutes, I brought my lunch here and enjoyed the sunny area for awhile then relaxed in the shade Accessible entry with Ramps to access areas with steps.

Nice little park. Lots of shade. I think it is busy during work hours with traffic, atleast that's what I am told. But there are plenty of places to eat and get cocktails. Cool spot for live events as well.

Don’t miss out on visiting after November 29 through December when they host Christmas in the Park. Walk by beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Parking is very convenient in City view Plaza: $11 for multiple hours we spent there on that day and just a very short walk to the park. For family with kids there is plenty to see. If you are in a company of 21+ and want to check out some Christmas pop up bars there are 3: Mini boss and Paper Planes opened after 5p and 55 South at 4p. There is also Hilton hotel nearby with its own fancy Christmas decor and Bijou cafe if you want an indoor sit down. Otherwise there is plenty of food stands around the park and public bathrooms are near Ferris wheel 🎡

I come here often with my family. The open lawns and paths make it perfect for kids to play and for us to relax.
